Buddhist monastics of Lower Mainland from all traditions: Theravadin, Mahayana, and Vajrayana, join together to pray for World Peace. Join us for a day of Buddhist chantings, Dharma discussions, and Loving-kindness meditation, filling one’s mind with positive energy and sharing with the world.

Event will be led by:
Shifu Zhihan - a fully ordained bhikshu from the Chinese Buddhist tradition in Taiwan. He has been a monastic practitioner for over 20 years. Currently, he gives buddhist lectures and meditation instructions in Spanish, Portuguese, English and Mandarin in North and South America, as well as Taiwan. He is a director of Bodhiyana Buddhist Education Society in Canada, abbot of Tzong Kwan Temple in Brazil, founder of the Bodhiyana Foundation in Argentina, and abbot of Yu Chuan Temple in Paraguay.
Shifu Showshir - became a Taiwanese Mahayana nun in 1995. After 15 years of Buddhist studies in Taiwan, she traveled to Thailand, India, Myanmar to learn meditation from different Buddhist traditions. In 2012, she returned to Vancouver to teach meditation and share her knowledge of Buddhism. Currently, she is the president of Bodhiyana Buddhist Education Society.
Shifu Showshao - born in Taiwan and became a nun in 1995. She studied in the Chinese Pureland school for 7 years and the Vinaya School for 10 years in Taiwan. In 2012, she came to Vancouver and is a teacher of Bodhiyana Buddhist Education Society to help disseminate Buddhism.
